Powers Past Its Rivals
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300, the rear-wheel drive base model, and the 2018 GLC 300 4MATIC®, the all-wheel drive model, are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 that delivers 241-horsepower. The new GLC 300's main rival, the Lexus NX, also features a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, but it only musters 235-horsepower.
The base model, 2018 GLC 300, gets an EPA-estimate 22/28 city/highway MPG while the new GLC 300 4MATIC® gets an EPA-estimated 21/28 city/highway MPG.
Drivers who want more power may want to consider the AMG® GLC 43 or the all-new AMG® GLC 63. The GLC 43 is a V6 that delivers 362-horsepower while the GLC 63 is a V8 that delivers 469-horsepower and drivers from 0-60 MPH in just 3.9 seconds. Both these AMG® models also exceed the top power offered by the BMW X3.
A Spacious & Superior Interior
If interior opulence, comfort and space matter, the 2018 GLC 300 is a better option than the BMW X3. Inside the 5-seat, well-designed cabin of the new GLC 300, drivers in Augusta, Aiken and Evans, SC will discover spacious, supportive and comfortable seats, plenty of leg and headroom and interior design that should send the BMW X3 and Lexus NX back to the drawing board.
The 2018 GLC 300 also has more than 17 cubic feet of space behind the second row and more than 56 cubic feet of cargo space once the rear seats are folded.
A Tech Standout
Standard tech features in the new GLC 300 include a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth®*, 2 USB ports and HD radio.
Available tech features include a sunroof, cabin fragrance and air purification system, navigation, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, a WiFi hotspot and a 14-speaker Burmester sound system.
Next-Level Safety
The new 2018 GLC 300 has proven itself to be among the safest vehicles on the road. It has earned a Top Safety Rating from the IIHS.
Standard safety features include a rearview camera, forward collision alert, and adaptive braking technology, which predicts when you will be braking and primes the pads closer to the disk, resulting in more responsive braking.
Crosswind assist and ATTENTION ASSIST® - 2 more standard features in the new GLC 300 - are unavailable in the BMW X3.
