Making Changes to the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC received an upgrade under the hood and outside, like the 2023 C-Class. Drivers can choose from a handful of powertrain options with exceptional technology for a comfortable, confident, and capable ride.
Mercedes-Benz is adding a mild-hybrid standard engine with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a 48-volt electric motor to deliver 248 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A plug-in hybrid model is on the horizon, as is a powerful and stylized AMG model.
Along with the new fuel-efficient powertrains, the 2023 GLC will also feature new tech features. The team at Mercedes-Benz of Augusta near Evans looks forward to the expected delivery date in April 2023.
Updated MBUX Technology Features
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV technology centers on the latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system with artificial intelligence tools like Voice Control and Touch Control. It still relies on the “Hey Mercedes” keyword to access the tools in the 11.9-inch central touchscreen display and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The central touchscreen angles toward the driver and includes an infotainment system with features like Augmented Reality Navigation, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, as well as digital HVAC controls. As Mercedes-Benz vehicles and drivers have become tech-focused, the automaker removed physical knobs and dials for volume and HVAC control.
Other tech features include 64-color ambient lighting, wireless charging, heated front seats, and biometric fingerprint authentication.
The Latest Driver-Assistive Technology
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV safety features include a video tool that gives drivers access to a view under the hood. The Surround View System shows rocks and potholes under the vehicle so drivers can avoid them and maintain a smooth ride. Drivers who choose a GLC with 4MATIC all-wheel drive can use the 360-Degree Surround View System for off-roading along with the off-roading mode and the downhill speed regulation system.
Mercedes-Benz has not shared the complete list of standard driver-assistive features. The 2022 outgoing model comes standard with safety features like Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Automatic High Beams, Driver Attention Monitoring, Active Parking Assist, and a Rearview Camera.
Additional updates involve the size and exterior styling. The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Class is 2.4 inches longer with a 0.6-inch wider wheelbase than the previous model year. These additional inches will add more cubic feet to the cargo area and more room for the front and rear passengers.
