Wide Choice of Engines

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class comes with an array of powerful, punchy powertrains, including a base 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that comes standard with the GLE 350 and GLE 350 4Matic. It makes 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The GLE 350 has rear-wheel drive, while the GLE 350 4Matic is all-wheel drive-only.

Moving up the trim level, the GLE 450 4Matic comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 with EQ Boost, making 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The AMG GLE 53 has the same powertrain but boosts output up to 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque.

If that’s still not enough for your application, consider the GLE 580 4Matic, which develops 483 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Like the GLE 350 4Matic, all other GLE-Class 4Matics are equipped with all-wheel drive. A nine-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard on all GLE-Class models.

High-End Interior

As a segment-leading midsize SUV, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is equipped with top-level equipment to enhance the experience onboard. The entry-level GLE 350 and GLE 350 4Matic feature heated and power-adjustable front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, push-button start, a sunroof, multicolor ambient interior lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

In addition, both models can be optioned with ventilated and massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, heated front armrests, genuine leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled cup holders, rear sunshades, four-zone automatic climate control, and a cabin air fragrance system. The GLE 450 4Matic and higher models come standard with these options in addition to power soft-closing doors.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is equipped as standard with five seats, but the seating capacity can be raised to seven by fitting an optional third row. In its two-row guise, the GLE-Class has 33.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 74.9 cubic feet with these seats folded down.
